Eatmepoptart, Singapore’s longest-running indie, alternative, and retro event, is helmed by local DJs Adrian Wee (weelikeme) and Robin Chua (KidG). Established in 2004, the parties by Eatmepoptart have never stopped as they hold one every other month or so at various nightclubs and bars under a different genre every time – indie, Britpop, alternative, punk, electro, and other blast-from-the-past hits.

Held at The Intermission Bar of local retro theatre The Projector, This is the 90s is a free event that pays tribute to everything that made the 90s such a great decade to live in. Celebrating the music, movies, and fashion of that time, DJ Koligraffi plays only the hottest tracks that once dominated the airwaves of the radios – featuring legends such as Westlife, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, TLC, Jay-Z, Nirvana and Spice Girls, to name a few. Whether it is to relive the nostalgia of the 90s, or simply to work up a sweat on the dancefloor, you are guaranteed to have a blast! Playing everything from 90s hip-hop to groovy love songs, this event is perfect if you want to dance the night away without judgment.
Emo Night SG
Find yourself reminiscing the good old days of secondary school when emo bands such as Panic! At The Disco, Numb, My Chemical Romance, and Saosin were all the rage? Just head on down to EMONIGHTSG: The B-Sides for the ultimate throwback to the golden years of skinny jeans and jet black eyeliners. Tucked away in a line of bars and Korean BBQ restaurants along Tanjong Pagar road, this hip bar unapologetically celebrates nostalgia with old-school arcade games and fancy cocktails inspired by the yesteryears of pop culture – with a comprehensive mix of the best 80s and 90s hits to boot. Situated along Ann Siang Hill, a neighbourhood where tradition and modernity meet to create an eclectic district of trendy diners and niche boutiques, White Label Records is a record store by day and a bar by night. A few times a month, they will hold events that celebrate all things indie, new wave, and alternative that allow local indie music enthusiasts to get their jive on.
